I think this is part of the reason why Halloween and Xmas get all the attention. If you boil 'em down to the nitty gritty main event, Halloween is either about taking a walk around the neighborhood to get free candy, or attending a wild party, either activity being enhanced by colorful and wacky costumes. Xmas is all about getting and giving presents. Meanwhile Thanksgiving is about a family dinner. It's a lot harder to make that last one exciting.

Yay for a new thread!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, I think. There's no gift-giving pressure or disappointment. There is just amazing food and catching up with family members you don't see most of the year. Also the Cowboys game-- woops, there's the disappointment. Found it.

Back in 1999 or 2000, when I lived in Oklahoma, gas prices dropped down to the low 1.10s for premium, and regular was something like 0.91 a gallon at it's lowest. I'd just started driving and it was glorious. Nowadays, I don't drive (city bus gets me everywhere I need to go) but if I did and prices dropped that low again, I might just start getting premium and see if it really does any better.

I made a Thanksgiving thread as well. Then saw yours. You had the better tag line anyway lol.

We had a new gas station open at the local Wal-Mart that sparked a gas war between Alsups, HEB and Wally World. It looks like it's over today but for the last couple of weeks we had some cheap fuel.
