Hi guys. There's a new Humble Book Bundle of banned comics.

    https://www.humblebundle.com/books

In Honor of that, I've posted a poll about banned books. I'm trying something new with this one, since there'd be too many options to try and list, I created generic options so that you can post your own answers as comments.

well tomorrow is the first of three 11 hour workdays in a row for me.

    iPhone eve.
    iPhone day.
    iPhone weekend.

Tomorrow I must build a new accessory wall. At close I must perform weekly inventory counts.

Thursday at close I must put up all the relevant iPhone signage, pricepoints and other Plano-o-gram items.

    Friday is iPhone day.

Saturday I already schedule myself to work an Open/close.

I'm gonna be tired as fuck.

In other news, I decided to both break out of my rut and extend my rut by making something different for dinner...

    Meatball subs.

I have been experimenting with meatballs recently. Basically just mixing some chopped onion, garlic, egg and bread crumbs to hamburger meat and using them in my Spaghetti sauce. Spaghetti is my Sunday night meal, but I always end up throwing out the leftover sauce and meat. So today I made up a batch of meatballs just to see if I like them in sub sandwich form. Which I do.

Now on Sunday I shall try to remember to save the leftover meat and sauce to use for lunch or dinner on Monday.

I wonder if anyone reads my wandering thoughts even.

I wish I had some insight to offer on the tire cover thing, but I am not sure I am qualified.

I'm a little worried that my (failed) attempt to send a birthday thing seems creepy in retrospect.

But maybe that guy likes you and doesn't know how to make an approach. That you find him a little creepy kind of fits that theory. I'd suggest that you just kind of ignore the creep factor and do nothing to encourage the guy unless you really want to.

I get what yer saying. I've seen other guys be creepy before, and though it's rare, guys do sometimes get creepy women. Once I was on a bus, and this woman next to me grabbed a strand of my hard and played with it. Really creeped me out.

rkwsuperstar wrote:I have a short tale and a question to ask you guys at the end of it.  You may remember way back when I said I had 2 flat tires in 2 days.  The tire guy said oh, the heat can cause cracks, etc.  Well, I have a spare tire on the back end of my car (it's an SUV) and the tire guy recommended I put a tire cover on it just to protect it.  Fine, I'll look for one, but with everything else going on and other things I needed to buy, including 2 new tires and new clips to re-attach my fender flare, a tire cover was low on my priority list.  Today, one of the guys I work with (we are not friends outside of work, and we really don't have conversations at work, he's a little weird and I don't want to get too familiar with him) asks me to come outside and look and something.  I do...and he's put a tire cover on my spare tire.  He says Happy Birthday, Boss and I bought it for your birthday (we share the same supervisor).  I said thank you, etc.  But I'm not really thankful.  I'm a little weirded out.  It's just a plain black cover, so it's not offensive or anything, but it's not what I would have picked out if I were buying it for myself, and even though I haven't been actively searching for one, I have been thinking about what kind of design, etc., I might be able to find, and now they've paid for one so I feel like I can't buy a new one...I also think it's weird that this guy participated in this purchase.  Now, my boss has bought me presents in the past-little things like a painted Wonder Woman wine glass, or a bottle of wine, like that.  But this other guy is a relative stranger beyond work.  So I'm weirded out that he paid for anything personal for me.  I feel like I should be more appreciative...and I am, of the thought behind it, but I kind of wish I could give it back.  What's your opinion?

I will keep it, I don't want to be rude when they obviously put some thought and effort into this, but I'm just curious if you think I'm wrong for being weirded out.

You're not wrong for being weirded out. That's an emotional reaction that is typically beyond one's control. Out of curiosity, how long has the guy worked there? Do you know if he's friends with any of the other coworkers? If he's only been there for a year or less, this might be him coming out of his shell and trying to be friendly with his coworkers. If he is trying to get on your good side in the hopes of eventually asking you out, then I'm sure you can let him down gently.

Finally, as for the bland cover, you could make a stencil and get some paint to spruce it up. Make some kind of swirly color patterns or add a favorite phrase of some sort.

It's a little strange since your not that close, but I wouldn't be to freaked about it. Maybe the boss recruited him to find one for you, and he pitched in as a way to get on the bosses good side. Or maybe he saw it as an opportunity to get to know you better, which you can shut down with a simple thanks and move on.
Either way you get a free cover, and even though it's not the one you may have picked, it was something you have been doing without, so spend the money on something for you.

    When is your birthday?

Also, on last week's episode of Last Week Tonight, John Oliver said they were taking a two week break... which seems weird because that was the first episode after a two week break. I suppose it's better than going 4 weeks without a new episode.

It's still a great, so bad it's good, show.

I've given up on Fear the Walking Dead.  and I'm at the "I'll have it on in the background" point of Z Nation.

I didn't like her last season but I'm really enjoying Missy from this seasons Doctor Who. She was also great in The Brink.

Oh crap, that's right. New season of Doctor Who just started didn't it? I'm still behind on Gotham, The Flash, Agents of SHIELD, Constantine and so many others.
