My wife came up with a time and money saver for the project.

I was concerned about the added weight to the roof line of putting up that much shiplap, so we are going to go with tin on the ceiling and shiplap on the upper walls. I think it will give it a nice look and will be much easier to install.

I pulled all the lower rafters this yesterday and laid out my power runs. Decided on two ceiling fans with light kits instead, and a power plug up high for the outdoor tv.

I do have a problem with getting a signal to the other TV. Dish's hoppers don't have an extra spot to split the signal. so I'd have to split HDMI, over a pretty good distance. That would require some heavy duty cable ($$$) It might be cheaper to spring for an extra receiver. I did watch the game out there while I was working, by using the Dish Anywhere app, over my Ipad and running the signal thru RCA jacks. It worked, but not hi def and not that reliable streaming. So I'll have to think on that one.

It's vaulted under to run with the roof line, so I'm tearing it all out, building a couple of walls where the secondary roof line runs, then refinishing the vaulted ceiling, Replacing the fan, adding some drop lights and an outdoor TV. Should be a fun project.

Here is how far I got over the weekend.

The studs hopefully will come down this weekend and I can start framing my walls. Then I have to decide on what to use to finish. The wife wants shiplap, (Damn you Fixer Upper). I like the look but just need to weigh the cost. I think I can go back with a thin plywood on the ceiling then cover it with shiplap style paneling and get the same result. It will boil down to price. If it's a couple hundred difference I'll spring for the real stuff.
I think I can do the electrical and labor myself. So I'm budgeting $700 (minus the TV) for the project.

They make that shiplap look good.

I think their new store opens up soon, or may have already. My wife wants to get back their to check it out.

They had a lot of cool stuff but we didn't buy anything, other than a couple of t-shirts. It did give me some more project ideas. I'm leaning towards making my own water decoration for the back yard.

I'll post some pics of my attempts. We saw a few designs I am pretty sure I can do myself and maybe even improve on.
