A microbrew is a subset of that-- just a beer that amounts to only a few cases of finished product in total.

So, someone brewing at home is more likely to make a micro and a company like Ninkasi is making craft beers?

That's kind of right. I think most microbrews are sill meant to be sold. Home brew is just home brew.  The idea if a microbrew is that you charge much more because if the special ingredients, brewing process, and the "exclusivity" of buying a case of something that there might only be a dozen cases of in total.

I'd like to get my hands on a bottle of Black Ops beer by Brooklyn Brewery. I'm told it's like a hundred bucks a bottle, it's only made once a year, and it's insanely hard to find.

In that case, I think the first batch of beer to come from Ninkasi's Space Program might count as a microbrew. It was a very limited run and is hard to find.
