I recall winter nights having to go trudging through the snow in -20 degrees to get to the outhouse in my grandfather's country place. Could have really used some heated toilet seats then.
I would have just shat in a plastic bag and tossed it out the window.

Cold weather finally, and storms. I hear thunder outside right now.
It seemed like a good day to make pot au stew for dinner. Bought myself a new, bigger crock pot to stew in.

I spent Christmas up at my aunt's where it was Christmas lit by coal oil lanterns and flashlights. The power had gone out the night before and was yet to return. Thankfully most of the food had aready been made and there was just warming it up/cooking it on the coleman stove outside. They have a large fireplace in the living room so the place was nice and warm and no food was spoiled as the fridge and freezer (and christmas tree lights) were being run off a outside generator. However, the toilets could only be flush by pouring buckets of water that had to be hauled in from the lake down the street. Fun fun!

I am off from Wednesday to Sunday. Got most of my creative projects caught up to a decent place where I can afford to take a few days off from that as well. I am taking my brown booty into the woods for a week and spending New Years eve in the woods. I need a break. Hope the holiday was good for everyone.

Post holiday, how are we all feeling?
I feel shame for having pigged out in the extreme.
Relieved that it is over, yet a little let down because it's over.
Happy to have been remembered by sister and niece with nice gifts to me.
Relieved that the Dr Seuss books I got the little ones were deemed appropriate.
Tired from the six hours on the road.
Next year I got the wrap the presents. The little ones have more fun ripping the paper open than they do examining what's inside. Gift bags are out.
Thankful that I have friends here in the Internet who are friends in the real world too. Thank you to Patch, Arkay, Ozne especially for being my friends. (Kegs, you too buddy.)

Good afternoon gang. Buried my friend's Grandmother yesterday, then went back to his house and drank a few with him and his dad and anded up staying the night. Got home a few hours ago and started some laundry, but other than that it's being lazy around the house until I go to the night job tonight. I'm off Tomorrow and Christmas day. Tomorrow I am going to go see the new Starwars film with my cousins, and then I'll probably go stay the night at my parents and do the Christmas thing. I'll be around though.

I got that shotgun I posted a pic of, Sunday. It worked out great. I had a rifle I bought for $500 and sold it for $750 on Saturday before the game. So no money out of my bank account. I was hoping to try it out today but not sure I'll be able to.
