If you removed the soundtrack from Maximum Overdrive, it would be a terrible movie.

There would be no reason to have a poll if I included that.  That would be THE answer.  I went with more of a less well-known.

    Good point.

I'm going with Killer Klowns, but only because Army of Darkness wasn't on the list. For SHAME!

Also, the monster from IT was from another dimension, (kind of like the creatures in The Mist) which is more or less the same thing as being from outer space. Whenever I think about the book, I recall the scene where the 7 kids (who are something like 10 to 12 at the time) have a gang bang as some sort of sex magic ritual to defeat IT with the power of love, and I once again wonder "What the hell was King thinking when he decided to include that!"

Wasn't Stephen King's It about a killer clown from outer Space?

Without looking anything up...I think he wasn't actually a clown.  I think the clown was just a form he took.  And I don't remember if he was a space alien, or a demon from hell, etc.

If iI remember correctly,  in the book the children go on some kind of vision quest and see a vision of some kind of meteor striking the earth thousands of years in the past.  Implication being that It came from outer space.

It's been too long since I read the book or saw the movie.  Regardless, it's not a goofy horror movie and can't be on this poll.

I thought it was plenty goofy. In the end It turned out to be a giant spider. I say get a giant can of Raid and be done with it.

There are lots of horror-comedies out there. But not all of them are goofy.
